The Lionheart Brothers, Matters of Love and Nature

Fantastic...what makes it so nice? It must be the typography which looks like it has been etched in wood. Beautiful light, mysterious some how. Colour contrast to the black and white makes it interesting and conducted. I like the strong typography in contrast making up the name of the song titles.

Rage Against The Machine

This cover disturb me to my core. Its symbolic impact and the fact that this munk sets himself on fire in protest while sitting in, what seems to be lotus position, makes me philosophise over this image for hours!

At this cover we witness the Vietnamese monk Thich Quang Duc set himself on fire in protest against President Ngo that oppressed Buddhism in Vietnam. This famous picture is taken by Malcolm Browne.

First Aid Kit, The Lion's Roar

I really like the 70s style and soft attitude of the two Swedish girls in First Aid Kit. They are genuine, down to earth and sings beautifully like two little birds in the morning. I like the atmosphere of this cover... I like the Art Nouveau typography and the effect in the photography. I like that they often is pictured or filmed outside. In the fields or in a park. This "hippie feeling" really appeals to me! I was so lucky to hear them live in Oslo at Blå early this year. It was almost magical.. For one particular song, they sang acoustic and so quiet the audience,and myself, were almost holding our breaths, afraid we were going to ruin that very moment. I was stunned!

This bands expression, both instrumental and visually, strikes me as good art work. The photography of all their releases are all in same style. The photo technique, typography composition and the atmosphere represents indie rock. Their music relate to my heart, I can smell the grass and trees in the summer and get the feeling of being to a music festival when I listen to them.

I'm a big fan of Jarle Bernhoft, been since he was the lead singer in Span. I was so pleased to see, touch and feel his new and very much clever album Solidarity Breaks.

I love the texture of the paper and how it feels to open it. Just like when you "open" up for the music and listen to his new album this revealing and genius cover design makes it so a "must have piece". I want to hang it up on my wall. I like the font and how the composition is made out of his name. I like the layout, the colours. It's interesting... just like his voice.

The way the typography is integrated in the photo, is well considered. I really like the font composition. I like the background, the texture, the pattern and the pose of Emeli Sandé in the foreground.
